Alex Manugian fell in love with movies at four years old, when his father took him to see a screening of the original King Kong. Along with joining the writing staff of Grey’s Anatomy for two seasons, he has written original screenplays and adaptations for Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount, New Regency and others. Along with writer/director James Ward Byrkit, he developed an original adventure series for Sony International and developed a reboot of Fraggle Rock. The 2013 film Coherence, which Byrkit directed and Alex co-wrote and co-starred in, has achieved cult status. He has also been a film critic, development executive at Cartoon Network, creative consultant for both animated and live-action television projects, and a highly sought-after housepainter on both sides of the country.
